Brewers' Weeks Leaves Game Early

(Sports Network) - Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks left Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Dodgers in the sixth inning with a sprained left thumb.

Weeks said the injury occurred as he struck out in the fifth inning. He was replaced by Ray Durham in the field for the bottom of the sixth.

Weeks was 1-for-3 with a double and two strikeouts before the early exit. For the season, he is hitting .229 with 10 home runs and 36 runs batted in.
