MADISON, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin volleyball team is ranked No. 12 in the Volleyball Magazine's preseason rankings.

One of the key players this season will be senior middle blocker/outside hitter Audra Jeffers -- a preseason all-conference pick.

Jeffers is a three-year starter and is the Badgers' top returning blocker.

"Audra is a great leader. She's a very positive person on and off the court, great academic student and she's bringing some great things to the team so we feel good about that and she is working extra hard to get this team together because we have a lot of newcomers and they're going to have to get together fast," said UW volleyball head coach Pete Waite.

Said Jeffers, "I just hope to pass on all the knowledge I've learned the last four years. I've played a few different positions across the front row so I just hope to spread the knowledge to the underclassmen and show them the ropes."
