Wisconsin and other states in the upper Midwest are being bombarded with television advertising as presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain are targeting swing states.

The report released by the Wisconsin Advertising Project, a University of Wisconsin-Madison based group, shows that the most money has been spent on TV ads so far in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan. Wisconsin ranks sixth on the list, WISC-TV reported.

The time period runs from after the primary season ended on June 3 up to July 26. It found the Obama campaign outspent McCain's by $6 million dollars and more than 100,000total ads have run, WISC-TV reported.
