Madison Man Searches For Hit-And-Run Driver

Victim Hit On May 18

UPDATED: 7:07 pm CDT July 4, 2008

A Madison man has a question: why would anyone leave an injured person lying in the middle of the road and not help?

Tim Zigler wears a neck brace -- one of the visible signs that he's hurting.

He was hit by a woman driving a Honda Pilot on Sunday, May 18, while walking to get a bite to eat.

The incident happened in the crosswalk at Watts Road and High Point on Madison's west side.

"I don't understand how a person can come along and hit another person," said Zigler. "I was just out for a walk. I was going to get some supper and how another person can come along and hit you then leave."

Zigler said the police have hit a brick wall in their attempt to find the driver who hit him, WISC-TV reported.

Meanwhile, Zigler said he's concentrating on recovering and getting back to work.
